Organization
Child Watabaran Center, Nepal (CWCN) is a non-profit, non-government organization working to reintegrate and rehabilitate street children by providing formal and informal education, vocational trainings and life skills for their long term social security.
Objectives
- To provide literacy classes and vocational trainings to street children from various parts of the country.
- To provide basic necessities to street children living in the CWCN.
- To work for protection of child rights by lobbying with the concerned bodies.
- To help reunite street children with their family.
- To organize "Life Skills" programs and help these children solve their problems on their own.
- Support children to solve their psycho-traumatic problems through counseling, peer support, love and care.
- To develop awareness among children about the personal hygiene and protection of environment.
- To maximize possibilities of local resource utilization for self sustainability of CWCN.
- To provide emergency health services to children on the streets.
- To build strong network with different governmental and non-governmental organisations and work together towards the betterment of street children.
